TBILISI is no longer directly linked to London following the decision of British Mediterranean Airways, flying as British Airways, to suspend services due to disagreements with the Georgian authorities. They are expected to be reinstated for the winter schedule (27 October 2003) assuming outstanding differences are resolved. The service has offered the only non-stop operation from Tbilisi to the UK since 1997.
Operating under the BA banner British Mediterranean currently fly to Lebanon's capital Beirut, Amman Jordan, Damascus and Aleppo in Syria, Alexandria in Egypt, Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, Iran”s capital Tehran, Azerbaijan's capital Baku, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Armenia's capital Yerevan, Kyrgyzstan”s capital Bishkek and Uzbekistan”s capital Tashkent. All flights use two class Airbus 320 series aircraft.
