AUSTRALIA seems to be the ”in place” for what those down under like to call ”Branson enterprises”. Following the announcement of Virgin Atlantic daily flights from London to Sydney, Pacific Blue, a spin off of the successful Virgin Blue operation has confirmed it will begin direct flights to Fiji (Nadi) from Brisbane and Melbourne on 9 and 10 September respectively, after receiving approval from the Government in Suva. The budget carrier will operate three services a week from both the Queensland and Victorian capitals to Nadi, the gateway city to the Fijian Islands, at low fare prices and also connect Virgin Blue”s extensive Australian domestic network. The services will be operated by Next Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the announcement following new Pacific Blue will introduce non-stop flights between Australia and Vanuatu from 20 September.
