ALITALIA”s E38m bid for collapsed Volare has been thrown out by an
Italian court. Rival Air One has instead been given the go-ahead to
purchase the airline, which has prized slots at Milan's Linate Airport.
Alitalia, which wanted Volare to boost its domestic business, has
estimated it would lose E125m in revenues by 2008 if Volare went to
Air One. Volare collapsed last year.
