As the administration process continues at Alitalia, the airline reported a net loss of nearly €21 million from June to October this year.
Administrators are currently in negotiations with Lufthansa and Easyjet to settle partial purchase deals, with a decision due to be announced in April 2018. Alitalia appears to be operating on a ‘business as usual’ basis, having announced earlier this month that it has no intentions of implementing a GDS booking fee.
Meanwhile, total revenue for the airline from June to October reached more than €1.4 billion, but it was outweighed by costs of nearly €1.3 billion and depreciation taking the net loss to €31 million. Excluding interest on a government loan, the airline ended the period down €20.9 million.
Alitalia says its cash flow was equal to €845 million on October 31.
