LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT has become the scene of a mini war between tiny EuroManx, the Isle of Man based airline, BMi and the equally tiny Keenair. The Ronaldsway, IoM, based operator has announced that it will commence five daily return flights between the Isle of Man and Liverpool John Lennon Airport today (2 December). EuroManx already serves Edinburgh, Dublin and East Midlands from Ronaldsway Airport. A 19-seat Beech 1900D is to be added to the airline”s fleet and dedicated to the Liverpool service. easyJet has also announced its 10th route out of Liverpool, starting 7 January, a daily (twice on a Sunday) service to Alicante on Costa Blanca.
