AIRLINAIR, the French regional airline, is to add five second user ATR 42-500 aircraft by the end of the summer season 2004. Not well known in the UK, its hub airport (and headquarters) Orly only linked by the AF London City service, Airlinair serves a large number of French regional airports mainly as an AF franchise. The carrier operates the highest number of ATRs in France and is second in Europe bringing the total up to 22 ATRs (16 ATR 42s and 6 ATR 72s). These new generation aircraft will be operated mainly on Air France”s domestic regional network.
