AIRBLUE is the latest start-up airline, this time in Pakistan. The airline has already been formally launched and plans to hub out of Karachi with three ILFC managed Airbus A320. The airline intends to start flying in May concentrating initially on domestic routes but intends to go international within 12 months. CEO is Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a former chairman of PIA, with the backing of Pakistani ex-pats.
