NEW YORK KENNEDY AIRPORT is to introduce its long awaited state-of-the-art AirTrain JFK rail system on Wednesday 17 December, the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight. The new service will provide fast, reliable and convenient transportation to, from and around JFK International Airport. The system will link the airport to the completely re-built Howard Beach and Jamaica AirTrain Terminals where passengers can transfer on to the subway; Long Island Rail Road express trains; and buses to central New York. From Penn Station in Manhattan to the JFK's terminals is projected to take less than 45 minutes; as against up to two hours by car or taxi.
