AIR SAHARA, part of the Sahara India Pariwar group with interests in leisure, entertainment and house building, and founded in 1993, quietly came into Heathrow (proving that you can get the slots) a week back with a two-class daily Boeing 767 service to Delhi. It competes with Jet Airways (who, it is rumoured, are on the take-over trial for the airline), British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Other recent international route expansion from its Delhi base include Colombo, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
