As part of the promotion of its new route from London to Auckland via Hong Kong, Air New Zealand has introduced a benefit to its Premier Business Class passengers with complimentary valet parking service at Heathrow.
Customers will be entitled to a maximum of 30 days of free parking whether they are travelling to Los Angeles, Hong Kong or New Zealand with the carrier. ANZ claims to be the only airline to offer this service, although a number of long haul carriers (including ANZ, which will still provide it as an alternative) supply a chauffeur car service both to and from the airport. For the brave, Virgin Atlantic has a motor cycle pillion option.
”Our new partner, Burgundy Global, will allow us to offer a number of enhancements to our chauffeur service including mobile SMS messaging service advising of car arrival for pick up and driver contact details, and email confirmation of chauffeur car reservation direct to the customer. We hope that our customers will find these service enhancements valuable and add to their flying experience with Air New Zealand,” said UK general manager Scott Carr.
Air New Zealand's new Business Premier product was introduced by the airline onto its UK to New Zealand route in November 2005 as part of the airline”s major long haul product upgrade programme. The comfortable leather armchair and ottoman transform into a truly lie-flat bed measuring 6 ft 7.5 ins (202 cm) and up to 33 ins (84 cm) wide at the shoulders. It is virtually the same product as Virgin”s Upper Class.
