BOEING gained a big boost last week with the news that Air Canada had selected the 777 and 787 as its future wide bodied aircraft and that the Panamanian airline Copa is to increase its 737 ”new generation” fleet by up to 15 aircraft. State-owned Air India says that its board had approved the purchase of eight 777s, 15 737s, and with what must be seen as a very significant order, 27 787s Dreamliners. The commitment awaits confirmation by Boeing.
