EINDHOVEN, a pretty little town virtually in the centre of Holland and 75 miles south of Amsterdam, is to lose its flights to Schiphol after a re-organising of its schedules by Air France/KLM. NedRailways (NS) is launching a faster, direct, and frequent rail link between Eindhoven and AMS Schiphol on 11 December 2005 and KLM Cityhopper will suspend services to Eindhoven and Schiphol from that date. In order to offer international connections, Air France will operate two roundtrips a day between Paris and Eindhoven from the start of the winter season and introduce a third daily service when KLM goes. AF will deploy an ATR 42-500 on this route, which can carry 48 passengers.
