AIR FRANCE has inaugurated its new Paris-CDG ” Guangzhou route. The service will be operated with the Airbus A340-300 five times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Starting 14 June 2004, Air France will be offering a daily service to Guangzhou. AF is the first European carrier to serve Guangzhou, and now serves four destinations in China. With 7.8m inhabitants, Guangzhou is at the centre of a very dense industrial network, only 100 miles from Hong Kong. It is Europe”s fourth biggest investment centre in China and France”s third. Its per-capita GDP ranks it third among Chinese cities.
