AIR FRANCE and London City Airport celebrated 15 years of the opening of the airport and the then Air France ” Brymon Airways service to Paris Charles de Gaulle on 5 November. The partners chose an evening river trip from the Savoy Pier for the celebrations, a reminder that when London City originally opened the airport operated a short lived Thames ferry service from Embankment to LCY. Air France used the occasion to promote its change of Paris destination. The airline now flies to Orly five times daily (the only airline to offer a service to the southern Paris airport from the UK) and just once a day to Charles de Gaulle. There are no weekend flights to the French capital from London City.
