AIR CANADA and its future remains in a quandary after the airline confirmed that it had received a fresh unsolicited revised investment proposal from Cerberus Capital Management. The new offer came after the end of a process in which Air Canada rejected a proposal from Cerberus and chose Trinity Time Investments, a company controlled by Hong Kong-based businessman Victor Li, for an investment of C$650m of new equity. The offer from the New York-based group was made to Ernst & Young, the monitor in Air Canada's court proceedings for protection from creditors. (see also ABTN 17 November).
