Air Canada will commence new direct services to Stockholm from Montreal and Toronto for the 2024 summer season.
Services from Montreal to Stockholm will operate three times weekly from 14 June, 2024, while services from Toronto to the Swedish capital will operate twice weekly from 12 June, 2024.
Flights will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which feature the carrier’s Signature Class cabin with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
Flights from Montreal depart at 18:00 on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and arrive in Stockholm at 7:05 the following day. Flights depart Stockholm at 12:15 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and arrive in the Canadian city at 14:05.
Meanwhile, services from Toronto depart at 20:30 on Wednesday and Saturday and arrive in Stockholm on 10:05 the following day. Services from Stockholm depart at 12:15 on Thursday and Sunday and arrive in Toronto at 14:35.
The Canadian carrier will also increase capacity on its year-round Toronto-Copenhagen services, with daily flights from 1 May, 2024 until 31 October, 2024. Seasonal flights between Montreal and Copenhagen will also resume earlier than previously scheduled, on 2 May, 2024, with up to five weekly flights from June.
"We continue our strategy of building international scale at our Toronto and Montreal global hubs and we are very pleased to deepen Air Canada's longstanding presence in Northern Europe with the addition of flights to Stockholm,” said Mark Galardo, executive vice president, revenue and network planning at Air Canada.
“Together with our added capacity to Copenhagen, we will operate up to 17 weekly flights this summer from Toronto and Montreal to Stockholm and Copenhagen,” Galardo added.
