AIRBALTIC last week introduced direct flights from Manchester to Riga. This is airBaltic's 21st non-stop flight destination in the airline's route network out of Riga, and the second, after Heathrow, from the UK. Initially airBaltic will operate three flights a week to Riga, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. From Riga the airline operates to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, London, Milan, Minsk, Moscow, Oslo, Prague, Stockholm, Tallinn, Vienna, Vilnius and Warsaw. From Vilnius its destinations are Berlin, Cologne, Copenhagen, Dublin and Hamburg. Also last week are new routes from Vilnius to Helsinki, Oslo, Tallinn, Vienna and Warsaw. airBaltic's fleet currently comprises four Boeing 737-500, three AVRO RJ 70 and six Fokker 50 aircraft.
