Russian airline Aeroflot has seen a sharp increase in passenger traffic for the first nine months of 2016.
The national airline carried 21.7 million passengers, up 10.4 per cent year-on-year. Available seat kilometers rose 8.5 per cent, while the load factor jumped 1.8 per cent year-on-year.
Traffic numbers were helped by a rise in international growth supported by a decline in competition as several foreign carriers reduced flight frequencies to Russia.
