AEROFLOT expects its net profit for 2004 to have risen $184.6m from $142.8m the previous year. The airline said it carried 6.9m passengers last year, a 17.4% rise, due to an expanded international network. The forecasts for 2005 sees net profit rise by more 13% due to fleet modernisation and cost cutting as it prepares to join SkyTeam. More than any airline Aeroflot is the one carrier ABTN is asked about by prospective travellers. Modern Airbus (A320 seen here) and Boeing aircraft are used on most international routes where it has a good safety record. As for service we have not flown ”up front” nor in the back.
