AER LINGUS has sold its majority share in its charter arm, Futura International Airlines, to a management consortium. Said to be worth E28m, the deal will reduce the Aer Lingus stake in the company to just 20%. Established in 1990 and now effectively based in Majorca, Futura operates 12 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Finance comes via a Spanish private equity firm.
