AER LINGUS, state owned, has quickly replaced Willie Walsh as chief executive with Dermot Mannion, who arrives in August from Emirates where he was president of group support services since 2003 and before that finance director. He joined the airline in 1987, comes from County Sligo, and graduated from Trinity College, Dublin.
