AER ARANN, the Irish regional carrier, is to restore in March the Cork - Belfast route that ended when Jetmagic collapsed last month.
Whilst Aer Arann has been successful in developing a series of routes out of Cork its recent attempt to link Dublin and Belfast City Airport was withdrawn after just two months, saying that it had experienced "consistently low" load factors.
However, demand on that link was hit by the development of a new motorway between Dublin and Belfast and the availability of good train services.
