AV8AIR, a new holiday airline, is to be launched at Manchester Airport by tour operator CT2 serving its established CT2 Holidays, CT2 Flights and LOCO Flights brands, as well as other UK independents. The new carrier will base a 233-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft at the airport this winter flying to Tenerife, Malaga, Lanzarote (Arrecife) and Alicante. In addition, from November AV8 will base a 278-seat 767-300 aircraft at Manchester to service CT2 Holidays” new South Africa holiday programme, providing the only direct flights from the North of England to Cape Town, and for summer 2004, Durban. AV8air will also serve a range of European holiday destinations direct from Newcastle next year.
