ROLLS-ROYCE continues to show others how to win orders with news last week that future ANA and China Eastern aircraft will be powered by variants of the very successful Trent series engines. With new Boeing 7E7 Rolls becomes the lead supplier with the Trent 1000 announced for the All Nippon Airways fleet of 50 aircraft. China Eastern is to purchase 20 Airbus A330-300 all powered by the Trent 700 engine. Rolls-Royce is involved with Airbus in developing the A380 and also has a major plant in Xian, Eastern China.
