Yotel has announced it will open five new Yotelpad properties, adding an extended stay product to its portfolio.
Yotel says the concept borrows elements of luxury serviced apartments and translates them into purposefully designed ‘compact homes’, known as ‘pads’. The company says the product is intended to give guests a home-from-home experience.
Standard pads start from 20 sqm, but larger options will be available. They feature Yotel’s adjustable Smartbeds, work and relaxation areas, en-suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchenettes and storage space. Yotel’s Technowall will enable guests to connect and personalise the space.
Communal areas and amenities within the property will be programmed to the local environment and may include 24/7 gyms, bike and gear storage, Amazon lockers, laundry facilities, a home cinema and a library, as well as Yotel’s Club Lounge, which can be used as a co-working space or for meetings.
Jo Berrington, VP of brand at Yotel, said: “Yotelpad will transcend traditional boundaries with a blend of hotel-quality standards and home-like comforts... True to the Yotel brand, Pad will be underpinned by our passion for technology and innovation; our seamless digital guest experience delivered via the Yotelpad app [which will] be your digital key and a go-to place for ordering amenities and ‘food to go’.”
Yotel says the five properties are confirmed in North America, Europe and the Middle East. The first two planned are in Park City, Utah and downtown Miami, Florida, which will include 250 Yotel cabins and 208 pads. These will be followed by two properties in the Lake Geneva region and one in Dubai.
