Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has been appointed to operate a luxury hotel within Admiralty Arch on London’s Pall Mall after the building was acquired by Prime Investors Capital.
Admiralty Arch Waldorf Astoria is set to open in 2022 following an extensive refurbishment project, which will restore and protect the historic landmark’s features. The building was originally commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and was designed by Sir Aston Webb.
The hotel will feature 96 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a rooftop bar, meeting and event spaces and a spa. There will also be a selection of private residences and an exclusive private members club within the building.
Christopher J Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton, said: “Projects of this calibre are rare, and Admiralty Arch Waldorf Astoria will provide a truly unforgettable hospitality experience when it opens to guests.”
