Reshopping tool Tripbam has created a report of hotels that have closed due to the coronavirus and is making it available to the business travel community, the company announced.
The list, provided upon request, is global and at press time included nearly 1,700 hotels.
The properties listed are those in the Tripbam system with corporate bookings that have check-in dates within two months from the day the report is run but that are no longer returning rate availability, explained a company spokesperson. It also includes hotels that were shopped as of 1 March, so that properties that no longer have bookings because of cancellations are not excluded from the list.
"It's not meant to be comprehensive, but is a good place to start," the spokesperson said.
The company will update the list daily, removing hotels as they open again.
For current Tripbam clients, the company can also provide a new set of analytics to help travel managers identify travellers currently booked at closed hotels whose bookings have not been cancelled.
