Serviced apartment specialist Supercity Aparthotels has purchased the Light Aparthotel in Manchester’s northern quarter.
Supercity says it has plans to refurbish and re-launch the property, which features 172 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, in 2018. The building also offers guests a fitness centre, lounge, car and bicycle parking facilities, complimentary wifi and housekeeping service. It is located within walking distance of both of Manchester’s mainline train stations.
The company currently operates three London aparthotels and has a fourth opening planned for 2018, along with a new property in Brighton.
Dean Madge, MD of Supercity Aparthotels, commented: “We’re encouraged with the recent visitor numbers published and the increased international flights, which is establishing Manchester as a dual centre destination for those visiting the UK. Manchester has rightly cemented its position as a key destination which continues to enjoy increased visitors for business and leisure trips, with many guests now multi-centring with London.”
