SHANGHAI has a new and outstanding hotel. In fact not quite true!
The five-star Pudong Shangri-La (second major building from the right), one of the most highly regarded deluxe properties in China, has acquired a 36-floor new glass tower featuring 375 rooms and suites.
The new structure also comprises a range of trend-setting designer restaurants and bars, a grand ballroom, spa, health club and glassed-in outdoor swimming pool.
With the opening of Tower 2, Pudong Shangri-La, with a total room inventory of 981, has become the largest deluxe hotel in Shanghai and the largest of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts' 48 properties.
In addition, if the hotel is well disposed towards you, a brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom will be dispatched to the new Pudong International Airport.
It is not as quick as the 300 mph Maglev train but it is point-to-point.
Lesser lights travel in a series of Mercedes stretch limousines, which have been added to the hotel”s fleet.
