Radisson Hotel Group has signed more than 50 hotels in its
Europe, Middle East and Africa region since the beginning of 2021, and opened
nearly 30 in EMEA through 30 September, the company announced. Radisson had 446
open hotels and 138 in its EMEA pipeline as of 31 December 2020, according to a
company spokesperson. The total additions account for nearly a 14 per cent
increase to the company's regional portfolio.
Among the additions, the company signed seven hotels in
Morocco, and during the summer opened five that collectively include 1,600
rooms. This brings Radisson's open and pipeline footprint in the country to 10
properties, with a strategy to reach 15 by 2025, according to the company.
Radisson also doubled its presence in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, adding nearly 1,000
rooms and serviced apartments in the Thakher City project. In addition, it
opened Radisson Collection hotels in Milan and Seville.
