InterContinental Hotels Group's IHG Rewards Club has
introduced dynamic pricing for reward nights at its hotels, the company has announced.
The number of points needed to book a reward room through IHG will shift
depending on demand and seasonality, among other factors, much as hotel rates
fluctuate based on a variety of revenue management factors, said an IHG
spokesperson. The company first rolled out dynamic reward nights in Greater
China, where the number of points required for reward nights for the first 50
weeks of stay dates were equal to or lower than 2019 amounts, according to IHG.
The change to dynamic points is permanent, said the spokesperson.
