Hyatt Hotels has updated its cancellation policy and will now
allow reservations booked directly through Hyatt for stays through 31 July 2021
to be cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival, the
company announced Wednesday. This policy includes advanced-purchase rate
reservations.
The policy does not apply to convention and group business.
Hyatt advises guests who booked via online travel agents or other third parties
to contact their booking provider for additional information and assistance.
Hotels may also adjust this policy during some high-demand periods, like
holidays or special events.
Reservations made after 1 April 2020 at select Destination
Residences or under special event rates are excluded from this policy and
subject to the cancellation or refund policy disclosed at the time of booking,
as are reservations made after 3 June 2020 at Hyatt Residence Club properties
and any other reservations made after 30 June 2020 that disclose a different
cancellation or refund policy at the time of booking.
Reservations can be changed or cancelled on the Hyatt
website or the World of Hyatt app. Changes to existing reservations will be
subject to availability and any rate differences.
