HILTON Hotels Corporation is poised to reunite with UK-owned Hilton Group in a deal worth ”3.6 billion. The two brands are set to come together again to create a global chain of 1,000 hotels for the first time in 40 years under a single name. They split in 1964 with HHC taking responsibility for the Hilton name in the US and Hilton Group handling properties elsewhere in the world. Hilton Group has confirmed discussions were ongoing about the sale of its lodging arm Hilton International.
