BROWN”S HOTEL, one of London”s most famous properties, and now owned by Rocco Forte, is set to re-open on 12 December. Closed since its takeover by Rocco Forte Hotels in the summer of 2003, and the subject of a ”19m makeover by director of design Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte”s sister, the property actually comprises of 11 Georgian town houses. Situated in Albemarle Street in the heart of London”s Mayfair, the hotel, which dates from 1837, has 117 guestrooms (including 15 suites) each individually designed with natural materials used throughout and antique pieces providing traditional accents. All of the air-conditioned rooms will have dual-line phones, voice messaging, broadband Internet connections and digital flat-screen LCD televisions with interactive video on demand.
