Tech start-up Taptrip has partnered with search and booking platform Omio to enable rail ticketing for business travel.
By integrating Omio’s platform, users of the free-to-use travel management tool can find and book train tickets that best suit their needs in the UK. The companies plan to expand the partnership to include multiple rail carriers in 15 European markets in future.
Taptrip’s platform is available across mobile devices, an app and a website portal and allows employees to search and book travel and record expenses in one location while allowing businesses to track staff while they’re on the road. The company was the winner of the Business Travel Disrupt Award at this year’s Business Travel Show.
Commenting on the partnership, Sarah Hanan, director of partnerships at Omio, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Taptrip to provide business travellers with the same easy access to rail travel currently enjoyed by leisure travellers.”

Taptrip is offering zero booking fees on UK rail journeys with the Omio integration until January 2020.
