Flight and hotel reshopping platform Oversee, formerly known as FairFly, is launching a new benchmarking tool to help clients “strengthen” their positions in airline negotiations.
Oversee’s new Smart Airfare Benchmarking platform creates like-for-like comparisons allowing corporates to assess their airline contract performance against similar organisations.
The system crunches data from “billions” of PNRs and fares from booking until departure to benchmark each travel programme’s advance booking behaviour for flights. This allows users to compare their performance with their peer group across a range of categories including airline, market and class of travel.
Aviel Siman-Tov, CEO and founder of Oversee, said its platform would allow travel managers to “level the playing field in airline sourcing and make informed, data-driven decisions”.
"Customers have asked for impactful insights to improve airline negotiation outcomes,” added Siman-Tov. “Oversee’s global customer base and experience in airfare collection and analysis empowers customers to maximise ROI (return on investment) on their sourcing efforts and optimise their budgets."
The company is also launching an Air Contract Auditing service. This platform automates contract enforcement to verify that corporate discounts are being correctly applied to air bookings.
"Air Contract Auditing brings contract enforcement into a new era - occasional and partial contract audits are no longer necessary,” explained Siman-Tov. "We are the first to fully automate contract enforcement by instantly troubleshooting mistakes in how discounts are applied.”
Oversee, which rebranded from its original name of FairFly a year ago, will showcase these new products at the GBTA Convention in Atlanta next week.
