Npower’s Jo McQuade, SAP Concur’s Emma Maslen and consultant Nicola Lomas are the latest speakers to be announced for next month’s BBT Forum, which is being held on 15 May at the brand new InterContinental London – The O2.
Under the theme “Adapt, progress and thrive”, the forum will explore three areas – digitalisation, department influences and risk – and begin with a keynote looking at Mobility-as-a-Service (Maas).
McQuade, group travel manager for the UK at Npower, will talk about the energy company’s digital transformation during the first panel. More speakers will be announced soon for the “Digitalisation” session, which will discuss how technologies can help businesses escape the analogue world and make the most of new processes to streamline their travel programmes.
Meanwhile, Maslen and Lomas will be speaking about how travel buyers are redefining risk and disruption against a background of airport drone sightings, “gilets jaunes”, currency fluctuations and ongoing Brexit developments. The panel will also address traveller perceptions of risk.
BBT Forums, held in association with ACTE, provide key insight into the main issues in the corporate travel sector and bring together senior travel buyers and procurement professionals. There are no formal presentations; just open dialogue and two-way discussions.
The event finishes at 4.10pm and attendees are invited to join the BBT team and forum planning committee for networking drinks at the hotel's sky bar with views over The O2, Canary Wharf and Thames Barrier.
