Hotel technology solutions provider HotelHub has released its
new AI-powered Rate Optimiser tool to allow TMCs and corporates to
automatically shop for better rates on current bookings.
Using machine learning, Rate Optimiser monitors bookings in
line with the corporate’s preferences and automatically re-shops for better
rates by scanning through multiple supplier content. According to HotelHub,
TMCs and corporate users can set search parameters based on better hotel
amenities, room type, downgrade savings, upgrades for traveller comfort, preferred
supplier objectives and commission optimisation. The tool also automates
cancellation and re-booking of the rate without the need for manual
intervention.
In addition to email and browser notifications, the tool is
integrated with AI-powered virtual assistants such as Alexa and Siri to notify
travellers when the search criteria for optimising the hotel booking is
detected. Once confirmed by the user, the in-built re-booking feature cancels
the existing booking and re-books.
Rate Optimiser is integrated with HotelHub’s agency booking
platform used by TMCs as well as its self-booking tool used by bookers and
travellers.
TMCs and corporates are provided with monthly reports which
compile data such as successful re-bookings, savings achieved and missed
opportunities. HotelHub says this information can be further filtered by hotel
chain, brand and property.
According to HotelHub, the Rate Optimiser tool has been
piloted by a global TMC and in Q3 (June to August 2021) identified total average
savings of 15 per cent for the firm’s clients.
Eric Meierhans, CCO of HotelHub, said: “We have leveraged
our expertise in the hotel booking and technology space to develop Rate Optimiser
with a holistic approach to managing hotel costs, driving productivity
efficiencies and enhancing the user experience.”
