CWT has introduced web-based flight booking capabilities to
its myCWT global travel management platform, allowing travellers to buy flights
and hotels through the company’s chosen online booking provider.
The new option adds to the existing ability to book through
any of the company’s servicing and booking channels, including web, mobile,
email, telephone and messaging.
Niklas Andreen, CWT’s chief traveller experience officer,
said: “We are excited about this new launch. It is yet another milestone in our
quest to enrich the travel experience of our clients’ employees and fulfil our
three core brand promises – simplify travel, unlock possibilities and move
forward together. Our clients asked us for a complementary booking experience
similar to the one offered by the OTAs but with the benefits of being in-policy.
We’ve delivered this with a booking choice that is both fast and easy.”
The company conducted four months of beta testing on the new
booking option with 11 clients, during which time Andreen said the platform saw
“a very strong uplift in in-policy, compliant hotel bookings, likely because
travellers were able to book their entire trip in one place”.
CWT said it is committed to implementing further myCWT enhancements throughout 2020. It recently added 24/7 messaging-based support to the platform.
