Corporate Travel Management (CTM) is rolling out a new suite
of technology, including a global approval tool available to clients in early 2022,
an enhanced portal and profile tools.
Dubbed CTM Approve, the pre-trip approval system for global
travel managers provides multi-layered control, according to the TMC. Within
the tool, CTM collects PNR data, runs it through a single approval instance and
sends out approval notifications to the client’s selected employees. The system
provides a single global view of all approvals anywhere in CTM’s network,
including the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
Meanwhile, CTM’s new global profile system integrates HR
feeds for centralised client access to all employee profiles in one tool. This
can also integrate with the online booking tool of choice for the client,
including the TMC’s own Lightning OBT. It also works for both online and
offline bookings.
With the global portal, travel managers can log in and use a
single portal across all regions. Risk management information is presented on an
interactive map. The tool is available to clients using CTM’s wholly owned
locations globally for their travel needs.
According to CTM, each element of the new technology suite
is powered by global data to ensure a comprehensive experience for travel
managers responsible for travellers around the world. The suite captures PNR data
from multiple sources to feed CTM’s risk management systems, allowing for duty
of care on a global scale.
Mike Kubasik, global chief technology officer at CTM, said: “We
know that having visibility into travel in one place will be vital for our
customers to meet duty of care requirements in a post-Covid environment. [The
technology suite] extends CTM’s global capabilities and client solutions in
response to that environment, and – as international travel begins to increase –
creates a targeted solution for travel managers in need of a global view.”
Kubasik said the suite is the product of the work of the TMC’s
global and North American technology teams. “Our US tech team continues to
focus on client migration from Travel and Transport to CTM technology, and our
global tech team is focused on technology that meets the needs of our globally
managed customers.”
