Lufthansa Group is expanding its NDC content by allowing the booking of interline journeys with Singapore Airlines.
The European aviation group, which also owns Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss and Eurowings, said it was adding Singapore Airlines’ “prime code” to its NDC channels.
“This exciting update allows travel agents to seamlessly book interline journeys combining Lufthansa Group and Singapore Airlines flights through NDC channels,” said the group in a statement.
“This milestone follows the successful integration of Air Canada and United Airlines prime codes; and marks a strategic expansion of Lufthansa Group’s footprint in the Asia Pacific region.”
Lufthansa added that it remained the “fare owner and validating carrier” for these interline bookings, which apply to itineraries to and from Europe with a connection in Singapore.
“It underscores the group’s commitment to both its global joint ventures and its ongoing transformation through NDC,” said Lufthansa.
