Marine and offshore specialist TMC Mariner Travel has signed a deal with corporate payments firm Conferma to use virtual card technology.
The agreement will allow Australia-based Mariner Travel to use virtual cards for clients operating in one of the most complex and specialised areas of travel management, with crew movements often requiring last-minute scheduling changes and travel to remote port locations.
Aaron Watts, CEO at Mariner Travel, said: “Marine and offshore travel operates on tight schedules and in high-pressure environments. Partnering with Conferma enables us to respond faster to crew changes while maintaining the financial control and visibility our clients depend on.”
UK-based Conferma said in a statement that the deal with Mariner Travel was part of its continued expansion in the Australasia region.
James Heape, head of sales and partnerships for Australasia at Conferma, added: “Marine and offshore crew travel is one of the most demanding travel environments in the world.
“By supporting Mariner Travel, we’re demonstrating how virtual cards deliver measurable value in sectors where precision, compliance, and operational continuity are critical.”
