Expense management platform Expensify has established an improved integration with Uber for Business, enabling automated receipt collection for employees using both Uber and Uber Eats.
The integration allows companies to connect their Expensify and Uber for Business accounts, after which Uber will automatically send e-receipts from employees' Uber business profiles to Expensify. The receipts are fully categorised and reconciled when they arrive in Expensify.
Company administrators can also set policies around meals and rides, including for specific groups within companies, and they can manage rosters to control which employees are invited to use the feature, according to Expensify.
Expensify chief product officer Jason Mills said: “The upgraded integration with Uber for Business removes the hassle of managing receipts for employees, automates reconciliation for finance teams and delivers real-time insight into company spend."
In a statement, Expensify added that Uber receipts “meet international invoicing standards, simplifying global expense management”.
Josh Butler, global GM at Uber for Business, said: “We know how time-consuming it can be to hunt down receipts and get expense reports submitted in time.
“Through our newly improved integration with Expensify, we’re continuing to streamline this process so employees can spend less time on admin work and more time on their daily tasks, while making business travel expense management more seamless and compliant for their employers.”
