Expense specialist Emburse is to integrate itinerary management into its app to allow travellers to manage their trips and submit expenses from the same platform.
The US-based company said it was unifying travel and expense into a “single intelligent workflow” through its Emburse Enterprise mobile app. This will give users the ability to see check-in times, booking confirmations and “policy-aligned” expenses in one place.
Emburse said the development would also benefit finance departments as the real-time expense data would create “actionable intelligence”.
“This is travel simplicity at its best,” added Paul Nagy, chief product officer at Emburse. “By unifying travel itinerary information and expenses in one app, we’re making life simpler for business travellers and giving finance teams the real-time visibility they need for predictive spend orchestration within their organisation.”
Nagy said that a lack of real-time action and visibility has previously led to “expense inaccuracies and spend leakage”.
Emburse added that it would be making integrated itinerary management available globally through Emburse Enterprise on 1 August.
The enhancements to Emburse’s app are part of the company’s Expense Intelligence roadmap, with further improvements, such as Emburse Book and Emburse Reshop, due to be rolled out in the next few months.
