Payment provider AirPlus has launched a new platform that allows
corporates to manage their virtual cards in real-time and which includes new security
features such as card blocking and limited card lifespans.
AirPlus now offers three virtual cards for different use cases as standalone products rather than being part of the previous AIDA company account offering.
AirPlus Virtual Card Classic allows clients to pay for travel services and
other business expenses and can be set up as either single- or mutiple-use. AirPlus Virtual Cards Procurement are designed for
B2B and ad-hoc purchases such as office supplies and software licenses. AirPlus
Virtual Cards Travel Agency are designed specifically for travel agencies and
tour operators looking for a payment solution to handle their own
travel-related payments.
Companies can manage their virtual cards through a new portal which offers
an overview of all transactions in real time, along with the exact status of
the cards issued.
The portal offers new security measures that allow companies to set card
limits and validity for a 12-month lifespan and also enable corporates to set
mandatory fields.
Oliver Wagner, AirPlus chairman, said: “This marks another important
milestone in the biggest transformation project in our company’s history. We’re
really proud to have managed this, especially amid the pandemic.”
The new AirPlus Virtual Cards are currently available in 17 countries,
including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the US, the UK, France, Italy, and
Australia.
