Alex Twiggs
Zurich Insurance Group-owned travel risk management
specialist World Travel Protection has appointed Alex Twiggs as its new UK
business development director.
Twiggs will be tasked with leading the company’s strategic
growth in the UK and raising awareness of its travel risk management solution.
He was previously business development manager for the firm. Prior to this, he
held roles at United Healthcare Global, the Anvil Group and International SOS.
World Travel Protection offers 24-hour emergency assistance
to travellers via location-enabled smartphone apps and mobile connectivity. It
currently operates command centres in Brisbane, Shanghai and Toronto and plans
to open a centre in London in 2022.
