Travel and meetings consultancy Festive Road has appointed
Nikki Parsons as an outsourced travel manager for new client Arcadis.
Parsons joins after a period of time as the head of global
travel and meetings at AIG, where she was responsible for globalising the
company’s travel and meetings programme. Prior to this she held travel
management roles at Merrill Lynch, Standard Bank and Citi.
Parsons was appointed to the Arcadis project, the latest in
a growing number of travel management roles outsourced to Festive Road, to
manage the rollout of a revised strategy after the company appointed the
consultancy to carry out a review of its travel programme.
Commenting on the project, Arcadis global director for
workplace Martin Silvester said: “We needed someone to both benchmark and
re-think how we managed our travel programme globally. The result of Festive
Road’s work is a really well thought-through and right-size approach for our
business. A number of the approaches they have taken in travel have been so
well received within the business that we’ve applied them to other categories
too. To then get access to talent like that of Nikki to manage the rollout has
been fantastic and we’re on track to achieve our objectives and have significantly
raised the profile of the travel management programme within the company at the
same time.”
Parsons said: “It was a great opportunity to join Festive
Road and go straight into such an interesting project like the Arcadis
outsourced travel programme. To be able to put my experience to good use and
have the type of positive client/Roader relationship we have is really
refreshing.”
