Hotel management platform Roomex has announced the appointment of Garry Moroney as its new chief executive, effective 2 September.
Moroney was previously the founder of Clavis Insight, which was sold to Ascential in 2017, and Similarity Systems, which was acquired by Informatica in 2006.
The Dublin-based company operates in the UK, Ireland and Germany.
Chairman Paddy Holahan commented: “We have ambitions to scale globally and believe that Garry is the ideal person to drive our business forward. The board has chosen a dynamic leader who has vast international acumen, experience and a deep knowledge of scaling tech companies to incredible success.”
Moroney added: “Roomex has identified a massively underserviced segment in these companies that have a travelling workforce and a requirement for an all-in-one platform to search, book, manage and pay for their hotel bookings. I am incredibly excited to lead the business through this hyper-growth phase and find new opportunities as part of our global expansion.”
