Julia Hillenbrand
Lufthansa Group Airlines has promoted Julia Hillenbrand to the role of vice president of sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Hillenbrand will succeed Lorenza Maggio in her role after Maggio was appointed to the board of directors of ITA Airways following the completion of Lufthansa’s acquisition of a minority stake in the Italian carrier last month.
In her new role, Hillenbrand will be responsible for the commercial and sales activities across Lufthansa Group’s airlines in all European countries outside the carriers’ home markets.
Hillenbrand has held a series of roles within the Lufthansa Group roles during her career, including her most recent position of vice president of brand experience at Swiss.

“With her great knowledge about the needs of our customers and stakeholders she will further strengthen the Lufthansa Group.”
Lufthansa’s passenger airlines include Lufthansa Airlines, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways and Eurowings.
