American Airlines has named SVP of global sales and
distribution Alison Taylor as chief customer officer as part of a leaner
post-pandemic leadership structure.
Taylor, who has led American's global sales team since 2016,
will continue to lead sales and distribution teams while also overseeing VP of
global marketing and digital Janelle Anderson and VP of customer experience and
reservations Julie Rath. Kurt Stache, who led the customer experience division
and has been with American for 25 years, is leaving the carrier later this
year.
The restructuring also moves SVP of network strategy Vasu
Raja into a newly created chief revenue officer role, giving him responsibility
for the revenue management team on top of American's network and alliance
teams. Don Casey, who currently leads the revenue division and has been with
the carrier for 20 years, is retiring, though he will stay in an advisory
capacity for the rest of the year.
Additionally, American is promoting SVP of operations David
Seymour to chief operating officer.
